Resumo

A crescente demanda por recursos naturais exerce pressão sobre os ecossistemas. As florestas oferecem diversos benefícios econômicos, sociais e ambientais para a humanidade. O FSC foi criado em 1993 e é reconhecido como a melhor iniciativa privada na política ambiental global para promover o manejo florestal responsável e garantir, dessa forma, a continuidade dos benefícios gerados pela floresta para a humanidade. Contudo, poucos estudos ainda são encontrados na literatura sobre o FSC, e pouco se sabe sobre o conteúdo das publicações. O objetivo geral do estudo é mapear e demonstrar as publicações científicas sobre a Certificação FSC por meio de uma pesquisa bibliométrica e sistemática da literatura em duas bases de dados, a saber: Science Direct e Scopus. Como resultado, posterior a aplicação de critérios de inclusão e exclusão, 137 artigos científicos foram analisados de forma qualitativa e quantitativamente com relação a ano de publicação, periódico de publicação, Qualis Capes, fator de impacto, quantidade de autores por artigo científico, universidades envolvidas, localização dos estudos e subtemas abordados de cada artigo aceito para a composição deste estudo. Como conclusão, se percebe um aumento das publicações ao longo dos últimos anos e o interesse mundial sobre a temática.

The growing demand for natural resources puts pressure on ecosystems. Forests offer several economic, social and environmental benefits to humanity. The FSC was created in 1993 and is recognized as the best private initiative in global environmental policy to promote responsible forest management and thus guarantee the continuity of the benefits generated by the forest for humanity. However, few studies are still found in the literature on FSC and little is known about the content of publications. The general objective of the study is to map and demonstrate scientific publications on FSC Certification through a bibliometric and systematic research of the literature in two databases, namely: Science Direct and Scopus. As a result, after applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 137 scientific articles were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively with respect to year of publication, publication period, Qualis Capes, impact factor, number of authors per scientific article, universities involved, location of the studies and subthemes addressed in each accepted article for the composition of this study. In conclusion, there is an increase in publications over the past few years and worldwide interest in the subject.
