Reumo
This work consists in the application of a didactic numerical tool for fatigue failure analysis of mechanical components, made of ductile materials submitted to high cycling. The numerical tool is based on the literature in the area, presenting the equation and analytical approaches in order to assess how the variation of loads and geometry of the mechanical component can affect the behavior of the analyzed part in terms of dynamic fatigue failure. From the analysis of efforts and stresses acting on the evaluated part, obtained in the initial static analysis, and with the insertion of material and loading data, the program user can numerically simulate the results of a dynamic analysis and draw the diagrams failure by fatigue according to the most usual criteria in the literature. It is believed that, with the use of didactic numerical tools, the user can simulate different case studies, facilitating the understanding of concepts and phenomena that involve fatigue failure and qualifying him in terms of professional development.
