Resumo

Os esforços de organismos internacionais evidenciam que se torna cada vez mais emergente o estabelecimento de uma agricultura que não polua o meio ambiente, que seja ambientalmente correta e socialmente justa. A partir dessa perspectiva, estudar a temática do desenvolvimento sustentável relacionando com agricultura familiar, através da ótica da agricultura sustentável e suas inovações, permite explorar meios de produção que detenham responsabilidade tanto em âmbito ambiental, como social e econômico. O presente estudo tem por objetivo descrever a contribuição da agricultura familiar orgânica e agroecológica através de suas práticas inovadoras para o desenvolvimento sustentável. Para isso, o estudo fez uso de pesquisa bibliográfica, baseando-se em estudos relacionados à sustentabilidade e inovação na agricultura familiar, e também, trabalhos alusivos ao desenvolvimento e à agricultura sustentável. Como resultados têm-se: a agricultura familiar orgânica e agroecológica através das suas práticas inovadoras contribuem para o desenvolvimento sustentável, por meio da valorização dos conhecimentos e saberes locais, rompendo com o paradigma do modelo convencional de produção, estruturando-se na agricultura sustentável. Ainda, dispõe a capacidade de resiliência, adaptação aos mercados, coexistentemente respeitando o uso dos recursos naturais. Dessa forma, a harmonia entre as temáticas cria condições para fortalecer a agricultura familiar, que contribui para maior qualidade na produção e oferta de alimentos e segurança alimentar medidas que, em síntese, ampliam a sustentabilidade agrícola e tem a potencialidade de contribuir para caminhos viáveis para o desenvolvimento sustentável.

The efforts of international organizations show that it is increasingly emerging the establishment of an agriculture that does not pollute the environment, which is environmentally friendly and socially just. From this perspective, studying the theme of sustainable development related to family farming, through the lens of sustainable agriculture and its innovations, allows exploring means of production that are environmentally, socially, and economically responsible. The present study aims to describe the contribution of organic and agroecological family farming through its innovative practices to sustainable development. To this end, the study made use of bibliographical research, based on studies related to sustainability and innovation in family agriculture, as well as works alluding to development and sustainable agriculture. The results are: that organic and agroecological family farming, through its innovative practices, contributes to sustainable development by valuing local knowledge and wisdom, breaking with the paradigm of the conventional production model, and structuring itself into sustainable agriculture. Still, it has the capacity of resilience, adaptation to markets, coexistently respecting the use of natural resources. Thus, the harmony between the themes creates conditions to strengthen family farming, which contributes to higher quality in the production and supply of food and food security measures that, in summary, expand agricultural sustainability and has the potential to contribute to feasible paths to sustainable development.
