Resumo

O objetivo deste estudo é compreender quais as características da literatura científica internacional sobre a temática de Mudanças Climáticas no período de 2008 a 2017. Para isso, o método estabelecido foi uma pesquisa bibliométrica, exploratória. Para a coleta de dados foi utilizada a base de dados Web of Science, totalizando 1.142 artigos. Os resultados da pesquisa demonstram que o ano de maior número de publicações foi 2017. Em relação ao número de publicações, vários periódicos se destacaram dentre eles o Energy Policy. As instituições que mais se destacam em termos de publicações relacionadas a temática foram Vrije University Amsterdam, localizada na Holanda, seguidas da MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology, situada nos Estados Unidos e University Oxford, localizada no Reino Unido. Assim, sugere-se para futuros estudos expandir a busca de artigos sobre o tema Mudanças Climáticas em outras bases, bem como eventos científicos nacionais e internacionais.

The objective of this study is to understand the characteristics of the international scientific literature on the theme of Climate Change from 2008 to 2017. For this, the established method was a bibliometric, exploratory research. For data collection, the Web of Science database was used, totaling 1142 articles. The results of the research show that the year with the greatest number of publications was 2017. In relation to the number of publications, several periodicals stood out among them the Energy Policy. The most noteworthy institutions in terms of publications related to the subject were Vrije University Amsterdam, located in the Netherlands, followed by the MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology, located in the United States and University Oxford, located in the United Kingdom. Thus, it is suggested for future studies to expand the search for articles on the topic of Climate Change in other bases, as well as national and international scientific events.
