Resumo

O presente trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar o grau de satisfação dos professores da Rede Estadual de Educação Básica do Estado do RS. O método utilizado para a realização da pesquisa tem caráter quantitativo e descritivo, utilizando a Escala de Satisfação no Trabalho – EST. A pesquisa ocorreu por meio da aplicação de questionários em dois municípios deste Estado. Com a investigação foi possível traçar um perfil desses docentes e conhecer suas principais insatisfações e também aspectos positivos de seus ambientes de trabalho. Desta forma, o perfil predominante encontrado foi de mulheres, casadas, com idade entre 40-49 anos. A maior parcela possui nível superior com especialização e atuam há pelo menos 20 anos como professor. Ainda foi possível concluir que a grande maioria atua em mais de uma escola.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the degree of satisfaction of the teachers of the State Basic Education Network of the state of RS. The method used to perform the research is quantitative and descriptive, using the Occupational Satisfaction Scale (EST). The research was carried out through the application of questionnaires in two municipalities of this State. With the research it was possible to draw a profile of these teachers and to know their main dissatisfactions as well as positive aspects of their work environments. In this way, the predominant profile found was of women, married, aged 40-49 years. Most of them have a higher level of specialization and have worked for at least 20 years as a teacher. It was still possible to conclude that the vast majority work in more than one school.
