Resumo

O agronegócio é, hoje, um dos principais propulsores do desenvolvimento em nosso país, representando 21,4% do produto interno bruto, o que demonstra a importância do setor para a economia do Brasil. Um dos estados com maior participação na produção agropecuária é o Rio Grande do Sul (RS), sendo elemento extremamente representativo na produção do setor primário do país. Nesse contexto, encontra-se a microrregião do Vale do Jaguari, região com forte presença das atividades pecuárias e agrícolas na estrutura produtiva e na participação do PIB dos nove municípios que a compõe. Em 2017, o Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), concluiu o Censo Agropecuário brasileiro, em que mapeou as características dos estabelecimentos rurais, o pessoal ocupado, e as atividades agrícolas e pecuárias. Tal estudo, levando em consideração a importância do setor primário para a economia regional, é fundamental para que haja um conhecimento profundo do espaço rural local. Assim, levando em consideração que a pesquisa censitária da instituição se deu de forma exaustiva, o presente trabalho utilizou os resultados apresentados pelo Censo como fonte das informações constantes neste estudo, no que se refere ao cumprimento do objetivo principal que é estabelecer o perfil dos produtores rurais do Corede Vale do Jaguari.

Agribusiness is today one of the main drivers of development in our country, representing 21.4% of gross domestic product, which demonstrates the importance of the sector for the Brazilian economy. One of the states with the highest participation in agricultural production is Rio Grande do Sul (RS), being an extremely representative element in the production of the primary sector of the country. In this context, there is the microregion of the Jaguari Valley, a region with a strong presence of livestock and agricultural activities in the productive structure and in the share of the GDP of the nine municipalities that compose it. In 2017, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) concluded the Brazilian Agricultural Census, in which it mapped the characteristics of rural establishments, the busy staff, and agricultural and livestock activities. This study, taking into account the importance of the primary sector for the regional economy, is essential for a deep knowledge of the local rural area. Thus, taking into account that the census research of the institution took place exhaustively, the present study used the results presented by the Census as a source of the information contained in this study, regarding the fulfillment of the main objective of establishing the profile of rural producers of Corede Vale do Jaguari.
