Resumo

O apelo à preservação do meio ambiente, a escassez dos recursos naturais e a importância de uma produção sustentável surgem como premissas para a construção desse trabalho, cujo objetivo geral consistiu em compreender a relação existente entre os conceitos de economia circular, agricultura familiar e empreendedorismo rural em textos acadêmicos publicados nos últimos 4 anos na base de dados Scielo. Este trabalho é um estudo qualitativo, do tipo “estado do conhecimento” e de caráter descritivo. Foi realizado uma revisão do que já foi produzido sobre estas temáticas, o que está sendo estudado e quais as novas perspectivas. A coleta de dados foi realizada na base de dados Scielo, onde, inicialmente, buscaram-se artigos que apresentassem os conceitos de forma conjugada em um único texto. Entretanto, não se obteve nenhum resultado. Esta primeira resposta é importante, uma vez que revela a inexistência, nesta base e neste recorte temporal, de pesquisas que englobem esses três conceitos. Posteriormente, a partir da utilização individual dos descritores, a pesquisa apresentou sessenta e sete resultados para o conceito de “agricultura familiar”, mas apenas um para “economia circular” e um para “empreendedorismo rural”. Assim, foi possível verificar que, apesar de existentes, os estudos alusivos a estas temáticas (economia circular e empreendedorismo rural) ainda são pouco representativos em números. Além disso, foi possível observar que nos textos referentes à temática da agricultura familiar, este conceito projetado à experiência prática, foi apresentado como sendo o possibilitador de viabilizar a realização da economia circular e do empreendedorismo rural.

The appeal to preserve the environment, the scarcity of natural resources and the importance of sustainable production emerges as the premises for the construction of this work, whose general objective was to understand the relationship between the concepts of circular economy, family farming and rural entrepreneurship, in academic texts published in the last 4 years in the Scielo database. This work is a qualitative study, of the “state of knowledge” type and descriptive in nature. The review was carried out on what has already been produced on these themes, what is being studied and what are the new perspectives. Data collection was carried out in the Scielo database, where, initially, articles were sought that presented the concepts together in a single text. However, no results were obtained. This first answer is important, as it reveals the inexistence, on this basis and in this time frame, of research that encompasses these three concepts. Subsequently, based on the individual use of descriptors, the research presented sixty-seven results for the concept of “family farming”, but only one for “circular economy” and one for “rural entrepreneurship”. Thus, it was possible to verify that, despite existing, studies alluding to these themes (circular economy and rural entrepreneurship) are still not very representative in numbers. In addition, it was possible to note that in the texts referring to the theme of family farming, this concept projected to practical experience was presented as the enabler of enabling the realization of the circular economy and rural entrepreneurship.
