Resumo

As capacidades dinâmicas referem-se à habilidade da firma em integrar, construir e reconfigurar competências internamente e externamente, para endereçar ambientes em rápida mudança (TEECE et al., 1997). Este estudo buscou fazer uma análise temporal da produção científica sobre as capacidades dinâmicas, utilizando como recorte temporal 1965 a 2021. Para tal, foi desenvolvida uma busca sistemática na base Web of Science, refinada por tipo de documento (somente artigos) e idiomas (inglês e português). O total de artigos analisados foi de 1.628. Os resultados mostram que: (1) a primeira publicação ocorreu no ano de 1965; (2) o pico de publicações ocorreu no ano de 2020; (3) o pico de citações ocorreu no ano de 2020 com 9.711 citações; (4) existe uma curva de crescimento no interesse pelo tema; (5) O artigo mais citado referente ao tema foi “Dynamic Capabilities: What are they?”; (6) o periódico com maior número de artigos publicados é o Journal of Business Research.

Dynamic capabilities refer to the firm's ability to integrate, build and reconfigure competencies internally and externally to address rapidly changing environments (TEECE et al., 1997). This study aimed to make a temporal analysis of scientific production about dynamic capabilities, using a time frame from 1965 to 2021. For this purpose, a systematic search was developed in the Web of Science database, refined by type of document (only articles) and languages (English and Portuguese). The total articles analyzed was 1,628. The results show that: (1) the first publication took place in 1965; (2) the top of publications occurred in the year 2020; (3) the top of citations occurred in the year 2020 with 9,711 citations; (4) there is a growth curve in interest in the topic; (5) the most cited article was “Dynamic Capabilities: What are they?”; (6) the journal with the highest number of published articles is the Journal of Business Research.
