Resumo

Compreender as vantagens que a motivação proporciona para o ambiente de trabalho torna-se importante para o desenvolvimento da organização tanto privada como pública, e, nesse sentido, o objetivo geral deste estudo é investigar a motivação dos funcionários do serviço público em uma prefeitura do estado do RS. Foi realizado um estudo quantitativo e de caráter descritivo, que envolveu a aplicação de questionários com 53 respondentes da prefeitura objeto do estudo. Dentre os principais resultados, destaca-se que o relacionamento interpessoal, o qual é um fator que influencia positivamente a motivação, enquanto que as instalações inadequadas afetam negativamente.

Understanding the advantages that motivation provides for the work environment becomes important for the development of both the private and public organization, and in this sense, the general objective of this study is to investigate the motivation of public service employees in a state prefecture of RS.
