Resumo

Neste artigo, aspira-se elaborar feições que norteiam o assunto educação ambiental dentro das instituições de ensino superior (IES) no Brasil e principalmente em uma faculdade privada de Santa Maria – RS, utilizando-se de questionários da escala Likert para avaliar o nível de conhecimento da comunidade acadêmica (docentes e discentes) a cerca desse assunto. Percebe- se que os mesmos buscam conhecer melhor a IES que atuam como trabalhadores e estudantes, sobre o desenvolvimento de projetos voltados para o tema dentro da faculdade, o assunto fez com que a comunidade acadêmica repensasse seu modo de analisar a questão da educação ambiental, já que o mesmo faz parte do tripé moderno das organizações na área da sustentabilidade, juntamente com fatores econômicos e sociais.

In this article, it is hoped to elaborate features that guide the subject of environmental education within higher education institutions (HEIs) in Brazil and especially in a private college in Santa Maria - RS, using Likert scale questionnaires to assess the level of knowledge of the academic community (teachers and students) about this subject. It is perceived that they seek to know better the HEI that act as workers and students, on the development of projects focused on the subject within the college, the subject has made the academic community rethink their way of analyzing the issue of environmental education, since it is part of the modern tripod of organizations in the area of sustainability, along with economic and social factors.
