Reumo
The goal of this article was to identify the perception of the frequency of moral harassment and its affectional impact at work, aiming to contribute to its prevention in organizations. The methodology used was quantitative, of the descriptive type of survey with the use of two valid scales in Brazil: the EP-AMT and EIA-AMT. The determination of the universe was constituted of men and women who were active in the work market during the last four years. The analysis of the data was through the SPSS 22 software and Microsoft Excel charts. The results about the EP-AMT: 66,91% (professional level) and 81,36% (personal level) said that they never or almost never perceived moral harassment. Among those who considered that they suffered moral harassment, only 3,79% at the professional level and 4,69% at the personal level. In the EIA-AMT in 65,68% there were no affectional impacts, 16,33% had a little impact and 17,99% presented strong affectional impacts about the harassment they suffered. Moral harassment is still not talked about much nor combated and preventive actions need to be instituted, as well as mechanisms which help the harassed person to denounce. This situation cannot be resolved only on the individual level but it is possible to be resolved on the collective level.
