Resumo

Este artigo objetiva compreender a importância das feiras livres da Associação Regional de Produtores Agroecológicos da Região Sul (ARPA-SUL) para a reprodução social e econômica do Grupo Agroecológico do Remanso, localizado no 1º distrito do município de Canguçu/RS. O grupo criado em 1995, é resultado de um trabalho desenvolvido pelo Centro de Apoio e Promoção da Agroecologia (CAPA) e se constitui em uma associação local, que por sua vez está ligada a ARPA-SUL. Esta pesquisa é resultado de revisão bibliográfica sobre feiras livres e do levantamento, sistematização e análise de dados primários junto às famílias pertencentes ao Grupo Agroecológico do Remanso. O grupo, no decorrer da pesquisa em 2018 era constituído por 10 famílias, sendo que todas foram entrevistadas. Além das entrevistas com os agricultores, foi aplicada uma entrevista com o presidente da ARPA-SUL e com o técnico agrícola do CAPA. As entrevistas foram transcritas e assim, os dados e informações foram organizados na forma de tabelas, quadros e textos. Com isso, foi estabelecida uma análise e interpretação das falas dos entrevistados e feita uma relação com a literatura escolhida para embasar teoricamente a pesquisa. Constatou-se que a comercialização nas feiras livres é uma importante estratégia de reprodução social e econômica adotada pelo grupo estudado, mas isso só é possível porque o mesmo está organizado na forma de associação e vinculado à ARPA-SUL. O grupo está organizado e estruturado, a produção é praticamente toda comercializada de forma direta nas feiras coordenadas pela ARPA-SUL, porém o problema mais importante por eles enfrentado refere-se à falta de mão de obra nas unidades familiares, o que dificulta a expansão da produção agroecológica e consequentemente acarreta uma diminuição da quantidade de produtos nas feiras.

This article aims to understand the importance of free markets of the Regional Association of Agroecological Producers of the Southern Region (ARPA-SUL) for social and economic reproduction of the Remanso’s Agroecological Group, located in the 1st district of the municipality of Canguçu / RS. The group created in 1995, is the result of a work developed by the Center for Support and Promotion of Agroecology (CAPA) and it constitutes a local association, which in turn is linked to ARPA-SUL. This research is the result of a bibliographic review about free markets and the survey, systematization and analysis of primary data with families belonging to the Remanso Agroecological Group. The group, during the research in 2018 consisted of 10 families, all of which were interviewed. In addition to interviews with farmers, an interview with the president of ARPA-SUL and the agricultural technician CAPA was applied. The interviews were transcribed and thus the data and information were organized in the form of tables, charts and text. Thus, an analysis and interpretation of the interviewees' statements was established and a relationship was made with the literature chosen to theoretically support the research. It was found that commercialization in free markets is an important strategy of social and economic reproduction adopted by the studied group. but this is only possible because it is organized in the form of association and linked to ARPA-SUL. The group is organized and structured, the production is practically all sold directly at the fairs coordinated by ARPA-SUL, however the most important problem they face concerns the lack of labor in family units, which hinders the expansion of agroecological production and consequently leads to a decrease in the amount of products at the fairs.
