Incorporar o uso da tecnologia como ferramenta tecnológica e pedagógica no ensino da educação ambiental contribui no preparo do cidadão, no sentido de instrumentalizá-lo para o desenvolvimento de ações transformadoras que consigam organizar novas práticas políticas e sociais. A utilização das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC’s) torna-se, portanto, uma ferramenta possível para este processo, fazendo emergir uma rede conectada no mundo inteiro, possibilitando as trocas de saberes e produção de conhecimento, podendo influenciar significativamente numa visão transdisciplinar da vida. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar a contribuição das tecnologias de informação e comunicação como ferramenta tecnológica e pedagógica em questões ambientais, discutindo como a educação ambiental está inserida na era digital. Através de um estudo documental, foi possível perceber que a utilização das TIC’s, compreendendo que as diversas tecnologias podem formar cidadãos com atitudes, valores para promover diálogos, que os leve a conscientização, sensibilização e a mudança de atitudes que possam prejudicar as presentes e as futuras gerações, é uma importante ferramenta no estudo interdisciplinar da Educação Ambiental.
